SYMBIS Premarital Assessment

SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) is a research-based assessment designed to help engaged and newly married couples better understand themselves, each other, and the relationship they are building together.

Rather than focusing on whether you are “compatible,” SYMBIS helps identify the strengths you already have as a couple and the areas where greater understanding may be helpful.

The personalized assessment explores areas such as:

  • Personality differences and relationship dynamics

  • Communication and conflict patterns

  • Expectations for marriage

  • Finances and money styles

  • Family backgrounds and upbringing

  • Love, intimacy, and connection

  • Roles and responsibilities

  • Stress and life circumstances

  • Spirituality and values

After both partners complete the online assessment, we will review your personalized SYMBIS report together in counseling sessions. The goal is to help you have meaningful conversations, understand recurring patterns, strengthen communication, and develop practical tools you can carry into your marriage.

SYMBIS is ideal for engaged couples, couples preparing for marriage, and newly married couples who want to build a strong foundation for their relationship.

Premarital Counseling with Kezia using SYMBIS

As a Certified SYMBIS Facilitator, I use the SYMBIS program to guide couples through a structured and personalized premarital counseling experience. My goal is not to tell you what your relationship should look like, but to help you better understand one another, talk through important topics, and intentionally prepare for marriage.

Before we begin, each partner completes an individual online assessment ($35 one time fee paid to SYMBIS). Your results are then combined into one comprehensive couple’s report (provided to the therapist) that highlights your unique strengths, differences, relationship dynamics, and areas worth exploring together.

Over the course of approximately 10 sessions, we’ll use your personalized report as a roadmap for conversations about communication, conflict, personality, finances, family backgrounds, expectations, intimacy, and other important aspects of building a life together.

Program Investment

  • $175 per session & $35 for the Assessment or

  • $1,500 when paid in full (includes 10-sessions and $35 Assessment fee)
